Leather wrap bracelets are here!  Check out these fun beauties, double wraps are $7.00 and triple wraps are $8.00.
I had to work at convincing my husband that I needed use of his Dremel and an exacto knife, but once I got started these were a breeze to make.  All together, I have the 8 posted below and a few additional to complete.

Thank you to all my helpers at Springfield Leather Company for your help and guidance, what a fun, fun project!
My love of jewelry making keeps expanding into new techniques and adventures!  This weekend I visited one of my favorite places in Springfield, MO on a mission to learn more about leather working.  I visited, Springfield Leather Company and love their store because it is not only full of awesome products (jewelry making supplies and leather) but they have some of the greatest people that work there, who know their business.  On a usual basis over the past three years there are two associates I always look for there, Molly or Chris. They are so FULL of KNOWLEDGE and always help me out.

Molly and Chris are patient with me everytime I am trying to learn a new technique and searching for something special for my business. This weekend, Chris helped me through something I know almost nothing about, LEATHER.  I wanted to learn basics of punching and using button screw findings to recreate a bracelet that I saw.  He was so patient with me and thank goodness he could translate my descriptions of what I thought I needed.  He helped me walk away with more than I could have imagined.

So if you are ever in the Springfield area and are in love with jewelry making like me, go see them!
You can also visith their website at: http://springfieldleather.com/

Trends for Summer 2012

The Mustache!

I "mustache" what the craze has been with a simple icon, the mustache.  It came out of no where and has been here to stay for some time.  There is still time to get some of these cute whimsical pieces.

The Collar Necklace, also seen as the Bid Necklace

These necklaces are beautiful and give you so many options, this example is named, Modern Peals and has sheer ribbon that connects in the back with the perfect clasp.  These can be created with chain or simply stringing an assortment of beads in one or multiple layers.  Get creative!

Stacking

This is the easiest trend and allows you to use some of the jewelry peices you have in your wardrobe.  Take single bracelets that mix and match and stack them!  Use them in 3's for starters, they can be elastic stretch, leather, memory wire or a mixture of metals.  Time to get your style on...
