Chain Maille - My Latest Passion!

I recently took a class for Chain Maille and learned the byzantine design, at first I thought there is no way this is for me!  I was tense and feeling like I was all thumbs and dropping more jumprings than I placed.  I am so happy I perservered,  came home after the class, lost sleep to complete my first bracelet.  In total it took me 3 hours!!

Since the class I am getting a tad quicker and daring new ideas with this weave and chain maille in general.  There is a lot involved, learning guage size, diameter and aspect ratio.  It is a lot to take in and I am busy reading and trying projects.  Attached are some creations!

The Power of Printerest!

Many of you have ended up here on my blog from a link on Printerest and isn't it incredible the vast number of postings that fill our minds with "boards" of things we aspire to do?  I love to scan Printerest to see what is popular or what may inspire me.  Pinterest is like having the DIY and HGTV shows all at our disposal when we want, not waiting for the ideal project.  I was thinking today how great this must be for Moms that need a quick recipe or party ideas for their children.
